Self confidence in the bedroom

SELF CONFIDENCE IS EVERYTHING YALL! How you see yourself, talk to yourself MATTERS. When you don’t feel confident, you’re sex life will reflect that. You begin questioning yourself and wondering if you’re good enough or if your technique is up to par. Self-confidence can have a significant impact on sex and sexual experiences. Here are a few ways in which self-confidence can affect sex:

1. Performance: Self-confidence can enhance sexual performance by allowing individuals to feel more comfortable and at ease during sexual activities. It can help individuals to be more present in the moment, focus on their partner's pleasure, and explore their own desires without inhibition.

2. Communication: Self-confidence can facilitate open and effective communication about sexual desires, boundaries, and preferences. When individuals feel confident in expressing their needs and desires, it can lead to a more satisfying and fulfilling sexual experience for both partners.

3. Body image: Self-confidence plays a crucial role in how individuals perceive their own bodies. When someone feels confident and comfortable in their own skin, they are more likely to feel sexually attractive and desirable. This positive body image can lead to increased sexual satisfaction and enjoyment.

4. Intimacy and connection: Self-confidence can contribute to a deeper sense of intimacy and connection during sex. When individuals feel confident in themselves and their abilities, they are more likely to be fully present and engaged with their partner, fostering a stronger emotional and physical connection.

5. Experimentation and exploration: Self-confidence can encourage individuals to explore and experiment with different sexual activities, fantasies, and techniques. It can help individuals overcome inhibitions and fears, leading to a more adventurous and fulfilling sex life.

Overall, self-confidence can positively impact various aspects of sex, including performance, communication, body image, intimacy, and exploration. It allows individuals to fully embrace and enjoy their sexuality, leading to more satisfying and pleasurable sexual experiences.

NOW YOU’RE WONDERING, “HOW DO I WORK ON GETTING MY SELF CONFIDENCE BACK?!!” I got you! As a sex coach, relationship coach and dance coach (pole dance); I know a think or 2 about working on self confidence. Here are a couple exercise I do myself, but also with all my clients.

  1. Wake up and say thank you to my body. Our body’s do so much for us and we often forget to give it credit. We are so worried about how it looks, but what about all it DOES?

  2. Create 3 affirmations surrounding self confidence for yourself. Say these every day or even before having sex! Ex: My body wants me to feel pleasure!

  3. We can’t confidently communicate what we don’t know. So let’s get CLEAR on what you want in your relationship and in bed. When you get confident your standards will rise and you’ll be able to communicate with your partner when issues come up or if your desires change.

Luckily for you, you don’t have to do this work alone! I have my 4 WEEKS TO BETTER SEX WORKBOOK AVAILABLE TO DOWNLOAD. This guide is great to do solo or along with your partner.
